Andressa started her romance with Tiago at the age of fifteen; both were in high school. After three months of romance and then moving into his house. She did not realize the abuse she suffered until Andressa published her book. She said that before she underwent a spiritual transformation it was hard for her to forgive her abusive partner. It was a most difficult decisions I've made. I contacted the person whom I had been sexually assaulted. It was not an easy thing to take on. It wasn't simple. After multiple fasts and prayers I told him via the phone that I had forgiving him. I was not feeling ashamed and pleaded for his forgiveness. The request to forgive me was not justified. Mariste Urach discusses in a interview with Globo the emotions she experienced as she discovered the abuse that her daughter experienced. Urach went to the inner city of Rio Grande do Sul, where the pedophile was a resident, in order to take revenge.
