Ashley Jones received a Bachelor of Human Learning for K-8 at the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1997. Her teaching journey began in Maury County teaching Reading to Kindergarten and 1st grade. She married Brent Jones, her UT Martin love and moved to Thompsons Station in 1998. Bethesda Elementary is where she began to teach 4th grade. Between 1999 and 2000, she was teaching while getting her Masters of Instruction from Trevecca Nazarene University but stepped off the teaching side when they welcomed their oldest son Baylor to the family in the year 2000. Ashley's most recent 15-year mission has been on growing children in her church and in the surrounding community. In addition, she serves in various capacities. Ashley has served as an instructor for the Preschool Ministry as well as in the the Student Ministry since over 13 years. Ashley was a three-year resident at home homeschooling her kids. Ashley was a teacher of History for kindergarten and 1st grade in the homeschool was also a participant in this course. While she enjoyed homeschooling and being with her children God evidently showed her family the need to re-enter school full time. Brent and Ashley each have five kids. Silas Eliza, and Cruz attend GCA. Baylor is an GCA student who plays baseball and attends the UT-Martin. Callan is a graduate of GCA, and goes to Western Kentucky University. The family is very active and enjoys fishing, hunting, and cheering one another in sport.
